Ella Weber

Ella Weber is an artist working in print media, drawing, creative writing, and video. She currently resides in her parent’s basement in the burbs of middle America and can be found smiling and slicing meat in the local deli while collecting fish on Tinder. From this ongoing research of slicing meat and seeking the real meat of the matter, Ella is creating work in response to the ever-changing complexities of blind dating, sexuality, and consumerism while digging beneath the surface of idealism.

She received her BFA from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2010 and her MFA with honors at the University of Kansas in 2015. In addition to the deli, she has participated in residencies at Anderson Ranch Arts Center (Snowmass, Colorado), The Wassaic Project (Wassaic, NY), Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild Colony (Woodstock, NY), The Kimmel Harding Nelson (Nebraska City, NE) and Ox-Bow School of Art (Saugatuk, MI).
